Elisa Cioccolo
Elisa Cioccolo is a Ph.D. student in Engineering for Energy and environment at University of Tuscia (UNITUS). During her studies in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, at the University of Viterbo, she perfected her knowledge of circular economy aspects, more specifically through alternative applications for olive pomace oil, at CREA-IT in Monterotondo (RM).
Her research work focuses on evaluating the environmental impact of hazel groves systems developed by INAIL (National Institute for Industrial Accidents Insurance).
Within the Forest Modelling group she focuses on studying and development of process-based models (called 3D-CMCC-PM three dimensional - coupled model for carbon cycle - pasture model), able of predicting the ability of grasslands in the Mediterranean environment to sequester carbon from the atmosphere and their interactions.
